Richard Owen Bagby

Richard Owen Bagby, 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 4, 2018.
Richard was born in San Pedro, California on December 11, 1933. Richard moved with his family to Santa Maria in 1969.

Richard worked most of his life in sales, most recently at Fastfoot and Bootworks in Santa Maria. He loved coaching his sons Little League and Middle League baseball teams. Richard loved spending time with his family, going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, barbequing and making salsa. He also loved taking drives to the beach and road trips with his wife.

Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Rose Bagby. He is also survived by his sons Philip (Melinda), Mark (Geneva), Jason (Amy) and Michael; daughters Misti Reynolds (Robert) and Laura Domingos (Paul); grandchildren Owen, Madeline, Ella, Brynn, Ambyr, Bailey, Aly, Kendall, Cooper, Nick, Mitchell, Stevie, Jack, Dylan, Christian, Tressa; six great grandchildren; and siblings Joyce Catlett and Earl Bagby.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Nora and Owen Bagby; and son, Erik Bagby.

Burial services will be private.
