Obituary for Arty Razo III

Arty Razo III was born on October 29,1977. He passed away on July 13, 2018 at the age of 40 years old.
Arty was a kind-hearted man of Christ, loved and enjoyed by all who came in to contact with him. He
was an avid Raiders fan, who also loved hunting, rodeo, and bulldogging. Idolizing Howie Long, Arty
wore the number 75 growing up playing football. He starred in football for Santa Maria High School, and
then played at LA Harbor Jr. College where his team won the Beach Bowl in 2002. Upon graduating, he
transferred to Graceland University in Iowa to continue his football career.
He met the love of his life, Sara, with whom they shared 5 children. Arty was an amazing dad, and his
family meant the world to him. He loved taking them to Disneyland and riding 'It's a Small World'. Arty
was known for being a great 'story-teller', and his presence was felt everywhere he went. Standing 6'6"
tall, he was known as 'Arty the one man party'. He worked several jobs throughout his life, including
being a 'bouncer' at almost all the local bars in town, working at Pacific Beverage Company, and later as
a Psych Tech at Atascadero State Hospital for 8 years. He spent several years being a youth football
coach as well.
Arty is survived by his wife Sara; children Levi, Tristan, Benji, Corbin, and lily; his parents Arty and Arlene
Razo; mother Maureen Simianer; brothers Anthony(Colby}, Steven, and Michael(Oczeana) Razo; sister
Makenna Simianer; grandfathers Angel Bourbon and Fred Cisneros; grandmother Susie Razo; as well as
his nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Arthur B Razo Sr., and grandmothers Jessie Bourbon and
Carmen Cisneros.

The Razo family will be hosting a 'Celebration of Life' for Arty on Saturday July 28th 1:00pm @ the VFW Hall in Santa Maria.
