Obituary for Nancy Ellen (Baird) MacCuish

Nancy MacCuish of Santa Maria, California passed away on December 21, 2017 after a long battle with brain cancer. She was born on May 15, 1950 in Riverside, California to Mary Price and Gerald Baird. While working for Bank of America, Nancy graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Business. She was a Real Estate loan officer and eventually became the Regional Loan Officer for the Bank of America. After leaving B of A she worked for various other local banks. Nancy married Andrew (Sandy) MacCuish on January 2, 1970. Together, they raised three children and hosted numerous foreign exchange students. Nancy enjoyed gardening, camping, quilting and scrapbooking.

In her mid 30’s she recognized Jesus as her Lord, she was then baptized and spent the rest of her life active in the local church serving and promoting Jesus, during the past eighteen months, was sustained by Joshua 1:9.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Sandy MacCuish of 48 years, sons Shayne and Spencer MacCuish, daughter Kathryn Paulson, brothers Kenny and Carl Baird, 6 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and numerous in-laws. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Price, and her father, Gerald Baird. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Eternity Bible College ( https://www.eternitybiblecollege.com/give/ ).

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on January 19, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church in Santa Maria at 2 pm.
